barbeque and magnolia

There is so much I would like to tell you but no time as I am waiting only for my brother to make a copy of a car key before we go out for sushi and a driving tour of Buckhead. I don't know how the panels were, I only made it to three but those were pretty good. Albert Goldbarth is funny. The people who panel'd How to Teach Fiction to Undergrads are smart and funny. Kim Addonizio and Thomas Lux are amazing; the former played the blues harmonica to punctuate poems and the latter gave one of the best deliveries I have ever seen. I do not miss the snow, but I miss my house and its people and the little white dog. I have had red beans and rice and the silkiest barbeque and sweet tea and a whole medium rare bison sirloin and several PBRs and a quarter bottle of the worst rum ever. Darren keeps asking Are you okay and I keep saying Yes because I am, but I am quiet because I do not think I want to go back to winter. I want you all to come live here and we can grow peanuts together.

The key is made and Heyo is back.
