spring

This morning it was sunny and light at 6 a.m.

I wore dressy shorts and red shoes.

The students were attentive and funny and engaged.

Every tree on campus is either blooming or--in the case of maples--full green.

I saw my first bumblebee of the season.

This song and this song and this song are all I want to hear in the mornings.

I heart Strunk & White. But only as a package deal.

These are stunning. I must figure out how to make one for the new place. On the cheap.

Corn-avocado soup is pretty fucking tasty. Tomorrow I'm inventing espresso fudgsicles.

Sometimes I want to live in the first season of The West Wing.
Poems out in the mail today. Good luck, poems.

This evening was Oberon on the back patio at sunset. Tomorrow is lesson-planning and mailing the B's phone back to him. And a big run-walk for the patient dog.

You should come over and have an Oberon.
