Well. In case it hasn't been absolutely clear that I had some reservations about heading back to school--I felt funny about heading back to school. I felt sort of tired and grumpy about some things and not quite ready to be back in my teacher pants. I was not looking forward to the crutches, and I was grumbly, missing Fredonia and Kato and not thinking about this place.
Then I got here today, and it felt right. I greeted my MW class, ran through the syllabus, joked about Fangs Versus Tail, passed out ivory papers. And then I crutched it back to my office, through the leafy greenness on the newly painted bridge, and now I'm sitting here listening to some music, waiting for the B, so that we can head home, and back through downtown, and make up some Alton Brown mac-and-cheese and eat it with green beans.
And tomorrow I get to get up and do it all over again.
