in brief(s)

The sun returned to the mitten today. You can see crocuses/croci again.

I have accidentally dressed myself like Ryan Adams today. Except I washed my hair OH HO HO TAKE THAT, YOU INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY RECORDING ARTIST WHO DATES BEAUTIFUL WOMEN .

This Keri Smith seems pretty smart.

Busy times, busy times. But I have a new Thermos that is remarkably effective, the first seven poetry conferences went well, I finished two stacks of papers without getting mad once, and I actually ticked through some other stuff on my to-do list.

Up next: more conferences, an observation of the awesomeness that is me leading freshmen through this article, the planning of a a four-week intro to fiction unit, and a faculty reading featuring yours truly. Then I have visitors in town. We shall admire the croci. Then it's Cherry Bomb blowing up. My my my life is so busy and fulfilled.

Hello, new gray Chucks. It's nice to meet you.

Last winter my pal Dare-wren made me this excellent mix, and even though this is sort of a sad song, this is the only one I have wanted to hear today. Open your windows and do the same.

Happy spring, mitten.
