Whenever I have a stack of papers to grade, my brain likes to tell me all the things I'm going to learn how to do, right after these papers get graded. Prepare yourself, everyone, for a spring of composting and canning and Pilates and essay-writing, and prepare yourself, me, for not doing any of these things and instead going back to watching old episodes of Law & Order for dubious "research purposes."
I wonder if real teachers feel this way, too, or if it's just me.
