bwtk broadsides

One of the things I particularly like about our reading series is that we hand out free broadsides, printed on thick, creamy paper, to accompany each writer. (Also nice--the free cookies.) My office buddy T designs and prints them, and he knocked himself out this past week out on the B's:

I am in love with the burgundy. And not only are the typography and the colors amazing, but he even did a special-edition run of two, in which the guitar bears a familiar name:

Yes.

In other news, this was a weird week. The students are buzzing, feeling--finally--the crunch of the last three weeks and the loom of portfolios. The B has been here, which of course has been amazing, but I can't help but be reminded of how much fuller a day feels when you have someone waiting at home for you. I woke up with a headache three of the five days, and I'm out of sumatriptan.

I still have to do my taxes and get out for a decent run and it's too early to start looking for one-bedroom apartments. And although there hasn't been snow on the ground for nearly a month(!), it's a gray day today, twenty degrees colder than it was last night. Too early for the crocuses' full purple bloom, too early for skirts without wool tights, too early for the bright green of new grass.

Meh meh meh. My life is hard.
